The Dead Sea is a terminal lake that loses water through evaporation only. This causes its water and mud to have unique composition, high in salts and minerals.

Dead Sea water has:

  • Calcium to clarify the skin surface and relieve pain
  • Sodium to balance the skin’s PH
  • Chlorine can reduce swelling by boosting the skin’s protective layer
  • Magnesium enhances the skin’s metabolism, helping it breathe and to protect against allergies
  • Bromine acts as a muscle relaxant and helps the skin’s breathing

Dead Sea mud has:

  • Silicates which have a tightening effect on the skin and can remove flabbiness caused by pregnancy or sudden weight loss
  • Clay Particles can help in moisturising the skin and decreasing the formation of wrinkles. It also absorbs skin impurities
  • Bitumen (natural tar) helps remove rough skin
  • Calcium for cleaning the skin surface and relieving pain
  • Magnesium helps hydrate the skin and repair any damage
